4 weeks, 1 ½ hours (2 weeks with David, 2 weeks with Katie)

Kids are natural actors because they love playing so much. Their lives are one big creative process! Because this fondness for play and having a wild imagination is so desired in the ad world, it only makes sense that there is a quite a bit of work in the voiceover business for kids of all ages.

We’ll be exploring the world of commercials, video games, toys, game apps, and animation!

• Learn how to “talk” a script
• How to maintain diction and projection
• How to analyze a script
• How to physicalize in front of a mic
• Learn how to express emotions and energy through the voice
• How to communicate effectively
• How to interpret characters all while letting your personality shine!
• This class is open to all youth ages 7 – 18

David Rosenthal has been teaching voiceover to kids for over 10 years, and has been a private coach to John Morris (Toy Story 1,2 &3), Bridgit Mendler (Good Luck Charlie, Studio Ghibli’s “The Secret World of Arriety”), and many others. David is also a casting director for game apps and is always looking for new youth talent.

Katie Leigh is a popular and talented voiceover veteran. She is beloved around the world for her voice renditions of Fizzy, Baby Sundance, Heart Throb, Lickety-Split, Ribbon, Baby Shady, Baby Gusty, Baby Tiddley-Winks, and Water Lily in the original My Little Pony TV series. Other roles she’s played include Baby Rowlf in the Emmy Award-Winning Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies cartoon series, Honker Muddlefoot in Darkwing Duck, Sheila the Thief in Dungeons and Dragons, Richie in Richie Rich, Sunni Gummi of Disney’s Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Alex in Totally Spies and young Han Solo for Lego Star Wars: Padawan Menace, and many others.
