OPEN ON A WIDE SHOT OF THE PARTHENON ON A MOODY AND OMINOUS NIGHT. WE CUT IN AND START MOVING THROUGH THE TORCH LIT HALLS OF THIS ANCIENT TEMPLE IN PARTIAL RUIN. SUDDENLY WE SEE KRATOS, COME INTO VIEW LOOKING LIKE HE IS STALKING PREY. HE MOVES OUT OF FRAME.
KRATOS SUDDENLY LEAPS BACK INTO FRAME AND COMES CRASHING DOWN ON A CYCLOPS, DRIVING HIS BLADES INTO IT. A BATTLE ENSUES BETWEEN KRATOS AND MYTHOLOGICAL BEASTS. AND AS THEY BATTLE THE TEMPLE AROUND THEM STARTS TO CRACK AND BREAK AND FALL DOWN AROUND THEM.
VO: Betrayed by the gods, he
seeks revenge.
THE BATTLE ESCALATES UNTIL FINALLY KRATOS KILLS WHAT LOOKS LIKE THE FINAL ENEMY. THERE IS A BEAT OF QUIET WHEN SUDDENLY THE CEILING ABOVE KRATOS EXPLODES AND WE SEE ABOVE HIM ROLLING, OMINOUS CLOUDS AND THE GIANT FIGURE OF ARES SWIRLING IN THE CLOUDS ABOVE HIM. ARES SENDS A FLURRY OF LIGHTING BOLTS DOWN ON KRATOS. KRATOS DODGES THE BOLTS AS THEY LEAVE STEAMING, CRATERS IN THE FLOOR, HE ROLLS, COMES UP AND THROWS HIS OWN BOLT OF LIGHTNING INTO THE CLOUDS. THERE IS A FLASH AND ARES VANISHES AS THE CLOUDS TURN BLACK.
KRATOS YELLS UP AT THE SKY.
A SINGLE DROP OF RAIN FALLS FROM THE SKY AND LANDS ON KRATOS’ FACE. FOLLOWED BY A DELUGE OF BLOOD RAIN THAT SOAKS THE SAND AND TURNS THE RUINS RED.
VO: And a new myth will be
written in the blood of the old.
VO: God of War.
